Potable water project

Construction of a children's dining hall and playroom in the Los Mártires neighborhood - Bogotá

Chronic malnutrition in children under 5 years old is a serious health problem. Children who are not well-nourished during this stage of life grow up with a series of physical and learning difficulties that significantly reduce their future developmental capacities.

The Los Mártires locality in Bogotá is comprised of a highly vulnerable population, and the figures for chronic child malnutrition are among the highest in the city. Additionally, these children do not have access to adequate recreational spaces because they generally live in overcrowded conditions that do not allow for play.

For this reason our Foundation  In collaboration with academic entities such as the University Foundation of Health Sciences and the generous support of the private company Panamerican Life of Colombia, during the years 2022-2023, they carried out the adaptation of a community dining room and a play center for 75 boys and girls, including 2-5 years old who are part of families in this town.

This effort shows how all actors within a society can join forces to improve the quality of life of communities.

Improving the nutritional quality and education of vulnerable children ensures a better future for all. HELP US ACHIEVE THIS.
